    I bought this to replace my ageing and lets face it, obsolete other brand. It was just a nightmare to program. The Rachio on the other hand, YES, easy to install, easy to program, easy to update. It even keeps you informed when it automatically alters your watering schedule. Can you really ask for more?

    Have been using this for several months, it was easy to install and run the wires, what I had the most challenge with was getting it to connect to my WiFi, I think the wireless reception can get some improvement as I had to install a signal repeater to get this unit connected, once connected it has been working great and the interface and options to control with the phone has been very easy to use and with many options. Would recommend.

    I bought this in 2018 and have used it ever since then. It was easy to install. Be sure and take detailed photos of your current controller, especially the wiring part, so that you know where each colored wire goes on the new Rachio.The Rachio 3 is very intuitive, once programmed from your phone. It comes with a built-in weather intelligence function which can skip watering right after it rains a certain programmed amount. It can also adjust watering schedules to compensate for seasonal changes.I really love this controller and I just purchased another one for a step-son that just bought his first house and is unfamiliar with any type of lawn sprinkler system.
