I like to run my outboard at home before using it on the water to ensure i keep it maintained and avoid issues on the water. I cannot run it on muffs other than on idle so using a tub helps with maintenance. This kit helps me add a drain to the tub so I do not have to manhandle it when I’m done. This kit provides everything I need to make a good thru hull connection and also connect to my garden hose for easy fill up and empty. I would highly recommend for this purpose.

Moving away from makeshift garden hose setups, first was a proper valve for drawing from the barrel. Stuffing the garden hose in from the top, with stuff getting into the barrel because the hole is bigger than the hose, then down to the ground where the pump is, then on to the next step…One simple step eliminated and I look like a pro. The Vtenyeo Store also has a range of other products suited for outdoor projects that I’m glad to have now discovered.Thank you and recommended

Comes with everything you need to install a leak-free spigot to your rain barrel or compost bin (except the barrel and drill bit). All the parts fit together nice and snug. Even comes with plumber’s tape to get an extra tight fit.The spigot threads on inside of the barrel are left-hand (reverse thread). The ball valve is smooth and tight. Everything is plastic, but that shouldn’t be a problem for rain water. For those interested, I included measurements of everything in the pictures.Great Value!

This spigot can be used for almost any bucket or barrel you want to collect water in. I am using food grade 30 gallon blue buckets for rain catchers and needed a spigot to run a hose from to water nearby grass. This worked great, the trik was finding the drill bit to make a hole the exact size for the fitting. Once that is done it is real easy to screw on the spigot and turn the lever to open up valve for water flow. So far it has not leaked and has worked well for what I need it to do.

This spigot is all plastic (no metal here, all PVC) but it feels nice and substantial. Mine came with two really nice gaskets to keep your bucket or barrel from leaking, a roll of Teflon tape and a straight and angled outlet. Assembly is as straightforward as it gets. The 1/4 turn ball valve opens and closes smoothly and works flawlessly. And yes, the outlets are threaded with the standard male garden hose thread, so you can certainly attach a hose to the discharge end if you want. All in all, this a surprisingly nice product that most gardeners would probably love to have.

I actually grabbed this set for the collection of parts to be used for different projects. The individual pieces seem pretty decent, although the angled piece seems a little thinner than the normal SCH40 PVC pipe.Overall though, this seems like an excellent set of fittings that should work great for my projects. It will probably work great for you if you actually use the parts together for their intended purpose on a water barrel.

Most of these barrel spigots have just one washer that goes on the inside ofthe barrel and then you have to use silicone caulk for the outside which is rathermessy. This is like it should be with one washer for each side! Also they are verythoughtful of the customer to make two two types of hose adapters, so you canhave the hose straight outward, or down at angle to save room. Very thoughtful manufacturer. Thank you.

I need to be able to easily drain out this wildlife watering basin weekly to eliminate mosquito larvae without having to physically tip the basin itself, so I picked up this bulkhead spigot.I drilled a 1.5″ hole and the spigot fits nice and tight..Installation is easy, be sure to place the flexible gasket face with ridges towards the vessel and the flat side towards the bulkhead lock-nut.Once installed and filled the basin was leak free and performed very well. This spigot is of good quality and is a good value

I have an Ivy Rain Barrel and while this spigot works well, there was only barely enough room on the ¾” NPT thread to twist this in and still be able to open and close the valve. Any shorter and the valve would have been pressing against the rain barrel. Would be great to have one or two more threads of length. The included pipe tape was very thoughtful.I used the elbow-bend fitting and had no trouble attaching a length of standard garden hose to it.All in all this worked just like we needed it to!

This has all the features that I’m looking for to use on my DIY rain barrels.1. Feedthru inside part fits through standard barrel plug openings on top of barrel2. Left handed locking ring, so tightening the valve does NOT loosen the feedthru3. Soft, thick gasket since the barrel is slightly curved and NOT flat. You do NOT need to over tighten the locking ring to flatten the outlet, which puts stress on the barrel and will cause cracks in plastic barrels.4. Open path through feedthru and valve have IDs that don’t restrict flowDISLIKES:The instructions FAIL to specify the size of the hole you need to cut for the feedthru… as if that hole magically appeared.
