The X2 controller continues the legacy set by the popular X-Core with the same set of reliable and highly efficient capabilities and brings irrigation management into the next generation by providing advanced water-saving features using Hunter’s industry-leading wireless Hydrawise technology.
With X2, you can keep the familiar dial-based programming offered by X-Core, or you can upgrade to cloud-based Hydrawise management that is fast and easy using a helpful setup wizard and a smartphone or desktop device. Hydrawise maximizes water savings by automatically adjusting irrigation schedules based on local weather measurements sourced from the internet.
X2 ensures healthy, green landscapes by making site management more convenient and profitable. You can quickly set irrigation schedules and manage an unlimited number of controllers with real-time status updates via Hydrawise software.

Replace my 18 year old Hunter EC with the X2. A couple of the reasons I chose this over some others is that it is roughly the same size, it included the weatherproof case, and that my EC lasted so long in the grueling Phoenix weather.It was easy to install, although it didn’t lineup perfectly it was still easier to install then any other device would have been. I only had to patch one hole in the stucco. The power is now removable, so also was quite easy to use my existing power connection. Previous versions of the X2 were hardwired and you had to actually cut the power cable.Overall pleased with the install and it worked the first try. I am going to set it up with the wifi controller that is sold separately though.

We replaced an older model Hunter outdoor sprinkler controller with this one. My husband and a neighbor installed it themselves and it works perfectly. The dials are smooth and easy to turn. Happy with my purchase.

We had this model already and an “incident” happened and we needed to replace it. Took a picture of how the wires were set and installed the new box in less than 10 minutes. Youtube was better for resetting the sprinkler settings than the paper instructions.Highly recommend this unit.

Bought a 6 phase, even though I only have 4 sprinkler phases. Gives me 2 more to use if needed in the future. This unit is simple to install and to use. The smart portion can be added later and easily installed.
