I wasnât sure but I took a gamble and tried it. It came with three diff sized balls. The larger the ball, the more pulsing back pressure. & I needed the large one. After two of full breaths using it I started coughing up stuf! Very portable and easy to use

Works except when it doesn’t.
I was really impressed with how well these flutter valves work to clear mucus from my lungs. Easy to clean. However after about 8 weeks of use the stem developed cracks which sometime cause leaks that reduce the back pressure. Then it doesn’t work. Take care not to insert the mouthpiece into the stem too far. I think the stem should be thicker.

Amazing for musicians
I’m a professional brass player who’s been having some issues with phrasing and breathing. I’ve been looking for an alternative to the typical breathing exercisers that brass players use. I had never heard of this device but decided to try it. It gives the lungs an excellent workout and challenge.I’m a tuba player, so I found that the heaviest ball bearing gave me the resistance that I wanted. I can even put my mouthpiece into the device and practice buzzing into the device w/ my mouthpiece. This is the best breathing exerciser that I’ve owned as a musician.
